Mission Statement

Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District Counseling Department is committed to providing a safe educational environment for all students and school communities through collaboration and coordination of counseling services in accordance with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and The Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs. The department will strive to ensure the overall success and growth of the students, school, and community by educating all children and developing the whole child through academic, career, post secondary, social, and emotional learning.
